Ben Grant, candidate for Portland City Council At-Large, sits down with Jerry Conley, Jr., for a conversation on Portland and his career as a public servant and attorney.
Jerry was elected to the Maine House of Representatives from 1986-1990. He was also elected to the Maine State Senate from 1990-1994. During his years representing the City of Portland in the Maine Legislature, Jerry served as Senate Chair of the Judiciary Committee and as a member of the Judiciary, Labor, and Human Services Committees. Jerry also served as a member of Governor John Baldacci's Judicial Selection Committee from 2006-2010.
In 1984, Jerry became a partner and founding member of Cloutier, Conley & Duffett, P.A. He specializes in criminal defense, personal injury, and public employee disability cases. He is married and lives with his wife, Mary Cahill, and their three children, Patrick, Connor and Kieran, in Portland.
